Event 12: Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park
|Date||Wed 20th Aug|

|Organiser||Fred Hamond (e-mail)|
|Planner||Daphne Hamond (e-mail)|
Tonight's courses were as technical as can be achieved in a public park. Well done Daphne. For those who had a few problems tonight, we hope that you fare better at Musgrave Park next week, where the terrain is a bit milder, but still detailed in parts. [Bill]
Judging by the number of reds in the winsplits, Daphne certainly gave you a run for your money! At least we didn't have to call out our back-up flotilla of giant yellow ducks to ferry you between controls 9 and 10 on the long course. Thanks to Ann, Jonathan and Patrick for bringing in the controls. And to Bill for the tent and SportIdent processing.[Fred]
InstructionsRegistration from 6.30pm. Last start is 7.30pm. Two courses: long 4.0km, and short 1.8km. Courses close at 8.30pm. Park closes at 9pm.
The ground is wet and slippery in places, so bring studded shoes if you have them. A snorkel would also be useful if this rain keeps up (extensive flooding on Sun)!
DirectionsEvent starts in lower car park of Dixon Park (beside Stables cafe). Coming from Belfast city centre, follow Upper Malone Road, past Dunmurry Lane (on your right), until nearing bottom of long hill. Carpark is on your right.
