Well done to all who competed tonight. The event organisation as a hybrid Sportident/pin-punch affair was fully justified as a control set was almost lost to the locals. I imagine that a little electronic box would have been a more valued prize and not have been discarded in the bushes.
Unfortunately there will be no Winsplits, Splitsbrowser or Routegadget results. A big thank you to the Colin Glen Trust for providing the use of the Centre.
The area is a linear forest parks based along the Colin River with a wider open area in the upper section of the glen. There is a noticeable climb from the lower to the upper section of the glen. The area was mapped at 1:6000 in 2001 for Ecotrails and recently revised by Bill Simpson.
Beginners course 3.5km, 85m climb based on the permanent course.
Red course 4.5km, 160m climb
Please not that due to the urban location SI units will not used. Traditional control punches and control cards will be used. More details on the night.
Time Registration 6.30-7.30pm in the park centre
