|Date||Wed 9th Jun|

Thank you very much to everyone that supported last nights WEE!
After the morning of rain the weather brightened up nicely to near perfect running conditions, which is probably reflected in the fantastic turnout of over one hundred orienteers! Unfortunately, because of this superb turnout we had to recycle maps, so if we stole your map and you would like a copy of your course, please get in contact with me and I’ll get one sent out to you.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the courses and got a good run in.
Unfortunately the event was slightly marred by the vandalism and theft of some of the control stations despite the numerous cable-ties(namely 101, 103 & 118, please see below.) If you happen to be in Belvoir park over the next few weeks please keep an eye out for the control stations.
A big thank you to Gavin for helping us set up on the night and for subsequently battling the Hotmail firewall to forward us the results (sorry for the delays everyone), Robert for downloading the results and also to Ryan who helped us set up and take down the course.
I hope to see you all at Lagan Meadows next Wednesday!
InstructionsAmongst the mix of woodland, a host of history lies within Belvoir Park: the oldest recorded oak tree in Northern Ireland, a 12th century Norman motte, a ruined graveyard dating back to at least the 15th century, and the remnants of the former estate buildings dating from the early 18th Century.
In addition to the above accolades it will also play host to the 6th WEE of 2010!
As usual two courses will be available – the long course is 4 km (90 m climb) and the short course is 1.9 km (40 m climb). Belvoir sports a network of well defined paths, and well travelled mountain bike trails which should make for a fast run for most, however full body cover is still advised if you wish to avoid the copious amounts of nettles.
Registration will take place in Belvoir Forest car park (see below for directions and map) from 6.30 pm, with starts from 7.00 pm until 7.45 pm, both courses will close at 8.30 pm.
The entry fee is £2 for members and kids, and £4 for everyone else. This fee includes a pre-marked map and hire of a 'dibber' (all will become clear at registration!). Please try and reuse your map bag where possible.
All are welcome, absolute beginner to renowned expert. If this is your first event, don't worry - there will be plenty of people about to help you get started, and finished if needs be :)
DirectionsFrom Outer Ring (A55) turn off at signs for Belvoir Forest near Newtownbreda Tesco's. After 400m take a right and continue to car park area
