It was a great start to the WEE series for 2012. We had close to 100 competitors taking part, a number of whom were coming back again after taking part in last year's WEE series. We also had a large contingent of school children that had been brought down by their teachers to get involved. The weather was great which added to the start of summer feel. Pre-entry is definitely the way to go. If you want to save money and time as well as take pressure off the organiser then you really should pre-enter for the events if you can. A big shout of thanks must go to Andrew for planning the course. Also the night would not happen without other people being willing to help out. So a word of gratitude must also go to Wilson on the MOO, Ken at starts, Philip and Helen helping the new comers, Daphne and Mandy on the downloads, Stephen with the IT problem solving task and Declan on the pre-entry arrangements. Great job everyone. So if you enjoyed the event and have a small nagging feeling of guilt fear not as there are loads more events that you could offer to help out at. Just contact the organiser and get involved - it is actually good craic and not that difficult! Last word of well done goes to the winner - Declan on the Long which ever way you look at it and Mathew Crothers on the Short handicapped results or Christopher Johnston on the Short Original Results
