The post-event report has not yet been added by the event organiser...
InstructionsAmongst the mix of woodland, a host of history lies within Belvoir Park: the oldest recorded oak tree in Northern Ireland, a 12th century Norman motte, a ruined graveyard dating back to at least the 15th century, and the remnants of the former estate buildings dating from the early 18th Century.
As usual two courses will be available – the long course 3.7km and the short course will be 2.1km. Belvoir sports a network of well defined paths, and well travelled mountain bike trails which should make for a fast run for most. The undergrowth is very high in places but the courses have been designed to avoid these areas. It is advisable to have full body cover if you wish to avoid the copious amounts of nettles.
Registration will open in the car park (indicated on the map below) from 6.30 pm or before if we are ready, with starts from 6.45 pm until 7.30 pm. The courses will close at 8.30 pm.
DirectionsFrom Outer Ring (A55) turn off at signs for Belvoir Forest near Newtownbreda Tesco's. After 400m take a right and continue to car park area
