Event 3: Barnett's Demense
|Date||Wed 22nd May|

A lovely early summer evening was enjoyed by 97 official starters and a few escorts! Sadly one control on the long course was misplaced - apologies to thise who spent time searching. The results have been adjusted to remove the legs either side.
Let's see if we can break 100 starters next week in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. We'll see you on Wednesday evening.

InstructionsWelcome to WEE 3, back in the entertaining terrain of Barnett Demesne. The park offers a fine mix of woodland, open parkland with a really good network of paths. There are a number of prepared cycle paths which should be avoided and from which the courses are planned to keep you clear.
Registration opens at 6.30 pm (or maybe a bit earlier if the planner gets all the controls out in time!) with starts from 6.45 pm to 7.30 pm. Courses will close at 8.00 pm in order that the controls can be collected in reasonable time. The MOO will be positioned in the Malone House car park with start and finish close by.
The usual 2 courses are on offer - Long at 4.0km, Short at 2.0km. They are very suitable for beginners while giving experienced orienteers a challenge, too. If you enjoyed Ormeau park this week, then come and continue the fun at Barnett Demesne.
Entry fee £7 adult, £5 adult member, £4 Junior non-member, £3 Junior / Student / Unwaged, free Adults going with a Junior.
DirectionsThe entrance to Barnett Demesne is off the Malone Road close to the Dub Roundabout and the House of Sport. It is well signed and will be marked with an orienteering kite at the entrance. Please be careful driving through to the car park.
