Organiser's Report
A great turnout on a lovely evening 24 on the long course and 3 on the short, with lots of new faces. It would be great to see some new members to LVO!! - you can get a membership form here:http://www.niorienteering.org.uk/pdfs/2005 Mem form.pdf Results have been posted directly by the organiser using Declan's experimental self-posting results facility. Apologies for the vandalism at control 12 on the long course and controls 4 and 7 on the short course. This was outside the planner's control, but apologies also for the slight error in the control description for control 11 on the long course. An analysis of the control cards and allowing for those affected by the vandalised controls, reveals compete runs for all except for on the short course Carlin Family missed 5, 7. On the long course Ben McComb missed 3, 9, 13, and Lindsay Jones missed 4. 10 minute penalties per missed control have been added. One competitor appears to have punched box 20 at the start and for controls 1 and 2. Then for controls 3 to 7 he punched box 12, to the annoyance of Daphne who reported "someone's been punching in my box". For control 8 he punched box 16, then for controls 9 to 12 he punches box 12 again. He appears to punch box 5 st control 13. So, should he be disq??? One would not expect such difficulty with numbers from one Cecil G Armstrong BSc, PhD, CEng FIMechE, Professor of Computer Aided Engineering. I await a decision from the WEE Series Wizzard.
