A Few Comments

So the final event of the May WEE Series has come and gone. It was a very wet night in Ballyclare, but the turn out was good, especially considering the conditions. The competition was tough at the top, but Rachel has managed to sneek in with 3 strong results in the later part of the series. Maybe that handicap value will have to be looked at .... Congratulations to both her and Josh who win the month of May League part of the WEE Series.

It should be noted that Alan got penalised 2 minutes for visiting some of the controls in the wrong sequence. Considering that he did not have to admit to the fact, the judges have been lenient, and the penalty seems a fair one. This has been reflected in the results table.

A big thankyou to all the organisers of the events, and also to everyone who came along and supported their efforts. Hopefully it will have helped your fitness and orienteering skills, not to mention been a bit of fun.

The second batch of events will be running in August, with Event 7 kicking off the second part of the series in Tollymore. Make a note in your diary now, and just to entise even more to come along to the next batch of events, there is a very strong rumour that Sport Ident will be used with the possibility of pre-printed maps ???
